Joshua Anthon won the Masters Cup in De Laveaga

Joshua Anthon from Rio Linda, CA won the Masters Cup in De Laveaga, Santa Cruz Ca. After three rounds of intense competition Anthon finished with a total score 224 and won the title by one stroke over Steve Rico. Another huge International Disc Golf weekend is coming up!
May 18-20 2007: PDGA US National Tour 'Steady' Ed Memorial Masters Cup & PDGA Euro Tour Geneva Open


International Disc Golf season 2007 keeps rocking! This weekend will gather elite disc golfers playing the US Tour to compete for the Masters Cup title and at the same time Europes top touring pros fight for the Geneva Open title.

'Steady' Ed Memorial Masters Cup is US National Tour event and it will be played on one of the greatest disc golf courses in the world, De Laveaga, in Santa Cruz Ca. De Laveaga course requires wide variety of shots, uphill, downhill, flat, tight, and open tee offs. Terrain is a combination of wide open meadows, cliffs and ravines, large redwoods, eucalyptus and oaks.

PDGA Euro Tour B-tier tournament Geneva Open is the fourth event of the Euro Tour 2007. Tournament will be played on 18 hole par 62 Des Evaux course. [ course ]

Johannes Högberg won Falköping disc golf Open, the second event of the 2007 Swedish national disc golf championship tour.


Swedish national disc golf championship tour continued with the second tournament, Falköping disc golf open.

Johannes Högberg from Skellefteå won open division by six strokes. Anders Swärd was second. Mats Öberg finished third eight strokes off the lead.

In open womens division Angelica Frantz won again. This time by a huge 24 stroke margin over Niloofar Mosavar Rahmani.

Again Christer Köhler won masters division. Köhler has been the man in masters division this season in Europe and he seems to dominate masters division in every tournament he attends. Calle Ulvinen won junior boys division. [ results ]

Ken Climo won the Golden State Classic.
The champ takes his PDGA Tour victory #200!


Legendary La Mirada disc golf course was the location for the fourth event of the PDGA US national Tour 2007. 12 time world champion Ken Climo was on fire as he carded a 53 first round score that rates 1073 on PDGA rating system.

Climo cruised in lead all the way home and won The Golden Classic with a total score 171, -24 under par. Matthew Orum finished second 174, -21 under par. Markus Källstrom and Nathan Doss tied for third 176 -19 under par.

2006 USDGC 11th Manabu Kajiyama from Japan played strong and made top ten with a total score 181, -14 under par. Keep up the great play Manabu!

In Open womens division Valerie Jenkins, 201 (+6), won by a huge 15 stroke margin over Carrie Berlogar 216 (+21). Emily Hardy was third 217 (+22).

Frisbee Freestyle World Championships 2007 in Amsterdam

Jesper Lundmark won the first tournament of the 2007 Swedish national disc golf championship tour, Göteborg Disc golf Open


Swedish national disc golf championship tour started this weekend in southern Sweden with the Göteborg disc golf open. Jesper Lundmark, representing Skellefteå DG, won open pro division by five strokes.

In open womens division Angelica Frantz, from Kalmar, took home the title also by five stroke margin. LocaI player Christer Köhler won masters and Calle Ulvinen, a local as well, won junior division.

David Feldberg won the Disc Golf Hall of Fame Classic


David Feldberg won The Disc Golf Hall of Fame Classic a US national Tour tournament with a total score 176, -27 under par. Tournament took place at PDGA International Disc Golf Center, Wildwood Park, Columbia County, GA (Augusta). This was already second victory for David Feldberg on 2007 US National Tour.

After two rounds Feldberg was four strokes off the lead but he shot an amazing -11 under par on the third and final round and took the victory by one stroke.

Ken Climo finished second with a total score 177, -26 under par. Nathan Doss was third, 181 -22 under par. Avery Jenkins and Geoff Bennett tied fourth place with a score 182, -21 under par.

Markus Källström from Sweden placed sixth with a score 186, -17 under par. Way to go Markus!

In Open womens division Des Reading won again. Angela Tschiggfrie finished three strokes behind Reading and placed second. Sarah Stanhope and Valerie Jenkins tied for third place.

Ken Climo won The Bowling Green Open 2007. Coda Hatfield finished second, Nathan Doss third and Barry Schultz fourth.

In Open womens division Des Reading got the victory, Angela Tschiggfrie finished second, Valerie Jenkins third and Carrie Berlogar fourth.

Next weekend the US National Tour continues as the Disc Golf Hall of Fame Classic makes a highly anticipated return to the PDGA National Tour in 2007.

Disc Golf Hall of Fame Classic will take place at PDGA International Disc Golf Center, Wildwood Park, Columbia County, GA (Augusta).

The IDGC grand opening is Friday, April 20, 10:00am. Players, spectators and media has a chance to visit new PDGA headquarters building, IDGC Pro Shop and the Ed Headrick Memorial Museum, home of the Disc Golf Hall of Fame. [ check out the invitation ]
