Welcome to the Dutch Open 2008 April 4-6 2008. The Dutch Open is a 2008 PDGA EuroTour B-tier event. The Dutch Open Disc Golf will be played in Rijswijk (parc Elsenburgerbos) on a non-permanent course known as "The Dutch Mountains". One man's quest to play every disc golf course in America


The Play Em' All Tour is a quest to play every
single PDGA listed disc golf course in America. Alan Brown, PDGA#30235, will attempt to play them all. >> Tour website

The reason for this tour is to create awareness of the sport on a national level through the press and at the grass roots level. While on this tour, Alan will be confirming information in the course listings directory at the PDGA and submitting suggested updates. Along the way, Alan will be promoting the PDGA and his sponsors in hopes of increasing disc golf awareness and promoting PDGA membership.

PDGA Logo Winners Announced


Mark Janssen (#20994) and Jack Gilmore (#9587) submitted the winning designs in the 2008 PDGA Ace and Birdie Club logo contest. Nine different people submitted a total of 21 logos in this years contest.

For submitting the winning designs, Mark will receive a 2008 Ace Club membership and Jack will receive a 2008 Birdie Club membership. Both members will also receive a complimentary copy of the 2007 Pro Worlds DVD, which will soon be available from the fulfillment house.

Winner of the FPA 2008 Disc Design contest is Michele Casadei


The FPA Board is happy to announce Michele Casadei disc design as the winner of the 2008 Disc Design contest. FPA Board also wants to thank Greg Marter, Markus Hein, Valerio Occorsio, and Dan Mangelles for their ideas and efforts. In the future this design will be remembered as the "G Bros" disc, but it does have all current FPA Champions' names.

2008 Disc Golf World Championships will take place in the southwestern Michigan in cities of Battle Creek and Kalamazoo. Michigan is honored to have the opportunity to host the greatest disc golf competition in the world for both Professional and Amateur divisions.

The US OPEN is back after 10 years!


After much discussion and through the efforts of many folks, it has been determined that reviving the US Open is what will be great for overall flying disc sports. After the incredible success of the 2007 WFDF World Overall in Ithaca, NY, this past summer, held with  the Masters and Juniors Overall, Scott Lash and the crew are ready to welcome all comers in 2008 for what will be a truly great tournament. Mark your calendars, the 2008 US OPEN FLYING DISC CHAMPIONSHIPS will happen in Reading, PA, on JULY 14-19, 2008. The web site is in development and will open soon.

2008 WFDF World Ultimate and Guts Championships


In the summer of 2008, close to 2000 athletes from over 25 nations will gather in Vancouver, Canada for the WFDF World Ultimate and Guts Championships. Surrounded by the beautiful Pacific Ocean and the spectacular Coast Mountains, all games will be played on lush fields at the University of British Columbia.
